A photograph is an imagined and staged world. Each movement is directed; each prop is placed. Whether working in a studio or on location I pick and choose from what is available - whether real or imagined to produce a new image. My images echo film stills of the sixties and seventies. These techniques and aesthetics allow me to explore imagined histories and the strangeness of a nostalgia that is not my own. I create something that I want but cannot have.
