Live Streaming Sunset is a series of projected projects to track the sunset across the globe in real time, creating an ongoing 24 hour setting sun, an eternal present. The sunset becomes a stretched out moment, collapsing distance and time, as it unfurls across the continent. Utilizing wifi enabled surveillance cameras and found web cams the work morphs with each viewing, never the same video twice, live and projected out onto the street. Further showings have included streams from Iceland to NY on to Costa Rica, Colorado, to California at Fridman Gallery in NYC as well as at the Parramatta Lanes Festival in Sydney, Australia and the Queens International 2016 at the Queens Museum . The piece is fiscally sponsored by NYFA and was the recipient of a 2015 Queens Council on the Arts Grant. Download Press Kit
